Productized system

Your shelf changes every week. Your website hasn’t changed since 2019.

Party stores and bottle shops all run into the same handful of problems. Rather than solve them from scratch every time, I built one system and I run the same written checklist for every shop. You see the checklist before you pay anything.

What I keep finding

The same five things, in almost every shop.

None of these are dramatic. That is exactly the problem. Nothing looks broken, so nothing gets fixed, and customers quietly go somewhere else.

  • Hours are wrong on Google. Holiday hours from two years ago, or a Sunday time that was never updated. Someone drives over, finds you closed, and buys somewhere else. This is the single most common one.
  • Nobody can see what is on the shelf. The whole reason a customer searches for a bottle is to find out who has it. If your site cannot answer that, the search goes to whoever can.
  • The phone number is not tappable. Most people find you on a phone. If the number is plain text instead of a link, they have to copy it by hand, and a good share of them simply will not.
  • The site is slow on mobile data. Not slow on your shop wifi. Slow in a car in a parking lot, which is where people actually look you up.
  • No one has touched it in years. Old prices, a discontinued brand in the header, a Facebook link that goes nowhere. It signals you are not paying attention.
The system

What you actually get.

Three parts, run in the same order every time. That repeatability is why this costs what it costs instead of what a custom build costs.

Your shelf

Your bottles, online.

Every bottle gets a real page with tasting notes and price. Customers can see what is actually on your shelf before they drive over, which is the whole point.

Local search

Found when they search.

Hours, address, and phone correct everywhere Google looks. Your Google Business Profile, your site, and your schema markup all saying the same thing.

Ongoing

Set up, then handled.

Hosting, updates, and the shelf kept current every month. You send me what changed and I take care of the rest. No ticket system and no account manager.

This is not theoretical.

Client workCanton, MI

Maria’s Market Canton

A neighborhood market with a serious Tennessee whiskey following. They wanted Shopify, so I ran the checklist on Shopify: the bottle catalog, the club, and the local search setup. The system is the checklist, not the platform. See it live.

Who this is forMacomb Co.

Shops like yours.

Party stores, bottle shops, and neighborhood markets around Utica, Sterling Heights, Shelby Township, Clinton Township, and the rest of Macomb County. Local enough that I can walk in.

Questions

The ones I get asked.

Is there an ongoing cost after setup?

Yes. There is a monthly that covers hosting, updates, and keeping the shelf current. If you stop it, the site stops being maintained and hosted by me. I will tell you plainly before you sign what that means, and I will not hold your domain hostage either way.

I already have a website. Is this a rebuild?

Usually, yes. Most of the sites I see in this category are old enough that fixing them piece by piece costs more than rebuilding. If yours is in decent shape I will tell you that instead, and quote the fix rather than the rebuild. And if you would rather be on Shopify or something else you already pay for, I will run the same checklist there. Maria's Market went that way.

Who updates the bottles?

You send me what changed and I do it. That is what the monthly covers. If you would rather do it yourself I can set it up that way, but most shop owners would rather text me a photo.

How long does setup take?

Two to three weeks from the point I have your bottle list and photos. The checklist is the same every time, so the timeline is predictable. Getting your product photos together is usually the slowest part, and that part is on you.

Do you work with shops outside Macomb County?

Yes, but being local is a real part of the value. I can stop in, photograph the shelf, and sit down with you. Further out and that becomes phone calls and email, which works but is not the same.

Next step

Start with a look at what you have.

Send me your shop name and I will tell you what is wrong with your current setup before you spend anything. If the answer is nothing, I will say so.
